Safe Work Australia recently updated2 publications on workplace bullying, to help address the problem of bullying which is rife in the workplace.

The revised guide aims to provide greater guidance for managers and advice for workers pertaining to bullying.

The guide includes information for employers and managers on preventing workplace bullying and responding to it in the workplace.

It also includes a worker’s guide providing them advice if they are being bullied, have witnessed bullying or have been the bully themselves.

What Land Sales Indicate about Residential Construction Cycle

25-1322134-MY2310BT[1]_fct1023x630x1x50_t620Data from HIA and CoreLogic RP recently released in their Residential Land Report, showed a strong increase in vacant residential land sales.

According to the report, the pace of increase in prices eased during the June quarter this year.

This comes after the sharp price increases and declinings sales volumes, showing a typical demand-supply imbalance, which has been escalating since late 2013.

Land sales activity is a relatively good indication of the prospects for detached house building activity and good news for the construction industry.

92 Workers Killed in 2015

According to the latest Safe Work Australia statistics, 92 Australian workers have been killed on the job since the beginning of 2015.

The construction industry is third on the list of most high risk industries in terms of fatalities with 10 construction workers having lost their lives in the last 7 months.
